“Francis, I missed my period some time ago.” Bosede said gently.
Francis sat up.
“That was before I came to see you, the last time. I did some tests and I was confirmed pregnant.”
Francis eyes’ widened.
“Look, Francis, I notice everything you do. How you call me only when you need to have sex, how you ignore me in public, how you act whenever I talk to you about your future. Remember the day I came to your club and I told the bouncer I was your girlfriend, I don’t know what you said to your friends that made them laugh at me but that broke my heart. And you still had the guts to make me feel guilty about that telling me that your boss hated you bringing relationships to work. I love you Francis, and I have always wanted the best for you. As much as I have tried to deny it, I realize you don’t love me. Or Francis, do you love me?”
Francis stared at his toes.
“You don’t even like me enough to lie. It makes me sad, but I have to face the truth. I aborted the pregnancy last week, I knew you wouldn’t want the baby so I terminated it.”
Francis jumped on his feet and pulled her up.
“Bosede, you did what?”
She looked him boldly in the eye and kept mute.
“Answer me you fool!”
He shook her shoulders as he bellowed at her. She pushed him off her.
“I aborted it, I don’t care if that pleases you or not.”
Francis slapped her hard across the face. She fell on the bed in shock. Francis glared at her. Bosede jumped on her feet, picked her bag and left his house. Francis opened the door and saw her running and sobbing as she ran out of the house. Well, good riddance. He picked up his ringing phone. It was one of the club regulars who had invited him to a beach party. He had agreed to attend and he was happy he did because he needed to party hard. He went to his wardrobe to pick what to wear. The episode with Bosede came to mind but he brushed it off. He would send her a message to apologise later. If for nothing, but the slap. He did not want her back, she was too serious for his liking. He had a good job running a very successful night club so obviously, his future was bright. Even if he lost this job, he had enough connections to get another one. Well, Francis thought to himself, that was that about that as he matched his converse to his shirt.
That can't possibly be all na... Oh oh. What happened next jur
